Aniya Gray is a 21 year old vocalist, songwriter, and music producer from Saginaw, MI. Although Aniya comes from a small town, she admires the hardworking people and growth that has come out of the city.
Since the age of five years old, Aniya had been on the mission to fulfill her God-given purpose to share her gifts with the world and to provide a space for people to connect to her music. This musical journey started within her church home at Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, and at church conventions. Then eventually she began performing at school events, concerts, and more.
Aniya received her middle and high school education from Saginaw Arts & Sciences Academy (S.A.S.A) performing arts school where her concentration was in Voice & Keyboard. Inspired to become a music producer, Aniya went to Oakland University to pursue her bachelors degree in Music Technology. Aniya gained a lot of experience and exposure due to the help of her professors Melissa Maloney, Terry Herald, Scott Gwinnell, and more. Some of the opportunities that Aniya has gotten to experience are performing at the Strand Theater with well-known singer John Holiday, Aretha’s Jazz Cafè for the Rising Star Jazz Competition, the Detroit Taco Festival with her band called Confidence, and more.
